Veteran Plates
Update: New Veteran Specialty Plate Availability
WYDOT expects to be able to accept renewal applications for Veteran license plates in mid-November.
WYDOT expects to be able to accept applications for new Veteran license plates in mid-December.
WYDOT will be sending out renewal letters on a quarterly basis depending on when your current specialty plate expires. Early renewal is not an option, even with paper applications. Those with low numbers will be given a chance to keep their numbers.
Veteran Plates
To qualify, you must have served at least one period of honorable service which resulted in the issuing of a DD 214.
If approved, your license plates will be forwarded to the county treasurer's office you indicate on your application.
Send your payment of $50 made out to WYDOT in the form of a check or money order along with your application to:
