The Aeronautics Division

The Aeronautics Division assists publicly owned state airports with state and federal funding needs, for use in airport improvements, planning and construction. The Division administers these projects from inception through final construction. 

Primary focuses include aviation safety, promotion of air service in the state, and providing flight services for the Governor, as well as other state employees, who are traveling to conduct state business.


FAA DBE Goal

In accordance with requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation, as set forth in 49 C.F.R. Part 26, as amended, the Wyoming Department of Transportation Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for the applicable professional services and procurement contracts will begin on October 1, 2023, and end on September 30, 2026. 

WYDOT's Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Federal Aviation Administration Annual Participation Goal through August 30, 2023, will be 3.7% utilizing an all-race and gender-neutral program.


Updated Priority Rating Model and Aeronautics Commission Policy Guidelines

The updated Priority Rating Model (PRM) for the Airport Improvement Program was approved by the Wyoming Aeronautics Commission at the August 16, 2024, business meeting. The Commission Policy Guidelines were updated to correspond with recommended changes in the PRM. The revised documents may be found here.
