Industrial Road Program

The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) administers the Industrial Road Program (IRP) in accordance with Wyoming Statute 24-5.  

IRP Facts:

• County governments are eligible for funding;
• State-funded;
• 50% Local Match required (minimum);
• Projects must adhere to County Road Fund standards;
• Funds may be used for construction of a new roadway and/or reconstruction of an existing road;
• Applications for funding must be received, considered and approved by WYDOT if counties wish to seek reimbursement for a project;
• Ongoing roadway maintenance is the responsibility of the county.
