BRASS-SPLICE™ – Version 5.5 - November 2021

The program designs splices using the Ultimate Strength Analysis (LFD) portions of the AASHTO Standard Specifications for Highway Bridges, 17^th Edition, 2002, the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, 9^th Edition, 2020, and Wyoming Department of Transportation Bridge Program design practice.

BRASS-SPLICE™ will design field splices for rolled beam or welded plate steel girders. Design criteria used in this program are in compliance with AASHTO specifications and WYDOT design practice. The program uses a Windows graphical user interface for data input and produces a formatted text-based report and detail drawing of the resulting splice design.
