Financial Responsibility Insurance Verification program

In 2006, the state of Wyoming passed Wyoming Statute 31-4-103(e), which states in part: “The department shall adopt by rule and regulation an online verification system for motor vehicle insurance or bond as required by this section.” Electronic verification will be accepted as proof of insurance. The verification program applies to all vehicles covered by personal lines insurance. At this time, vehicles covered by a commercial insurance policy are exempt from the verification program.
