Title: WHP Suspends VIN Inspections
City: Statewide
Narrative:
Due to safety measures when dealing with the COVID-19 environment, the Wyoming Highway Patrol will be suspending services for Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) inspections.
Some county clerks and treasurer’s through-out Wyoming have stopped issuing titles and registrations in person and have resorted to other ways to renew registrations such as online or through the mail. Please check with your local county for confirmation.
VIN inspections are a low priority and are not a highway safety concern. As such, the WHP is suspending the service of doing VIN inspections for 30 days and will reevaluate at that time when we return to providing this service.
